I’m married, am regularly overrun by my two young daughters, and live at the base of a breathtakingly interesting (and happily inactive) stratovolcano in the mountains of Northern California.
I was a photojournalist by training. But almost 30 years ago, I took a right turn into writing.
Life has been good (aside from that whole “coming of age in the disco era” thing).
When I’m not writing, I’m a fly fisher and outdoorsman (for years I wrote fly fishing’s most heavily trafficked blog, though I eventually ended it to focus on other writing work).
I also maintain a “Top 10” writing blog.
